These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ice Sched website and services ("Service") operated by Ice Sched ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, booking ice time, or otherwise using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Ice Sched is a multi-tenant curling club management platform that enables:

• Ice time booking and scheduling for curling clubs
• Payment processing for bookings
• League management and administration tools
• Club member management and verification
• Calendar and availability management

3. User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation:

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Verify your email address
• Accept the liability waiver and terms
• Await club administrator verification before booking privileges are granted

Account Security:

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Ice Booking Terms

Booking Process:

• All bookings require club administrator verification of your account
• Booking availability is subject to club schedules, maintenance, and league commitments
• Reserved time slots are held for 15 minutes pending payment confirmation
• Lead time restrictions apply based on your club relationship status
• Maximum concurrent booking limits may apply

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations must be made according to individual club policies
• Refunds are processed according to the payment method used and club policies
• No-shows may result in booking privileges being suspended

5. Payment Terms

We support the following payment methods, actual implementation is club-specific:

• Credit Cards: Processed securely through Stripe
• Interac e-Transfer: Available for Canadian users
• Pay in Person: Available at participating clubs
• Free Ice: For eligible members as determined by club policies

All payments are subject to the pricing set by individual curling clubs. Payment must be completed within the reservation hold period to secure your booking.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload malicious code or attempt to hack the system
• Make false or fraudulent bookings
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to make bookings

7. Club Relationships and Verification

Your booking privileges depend on your verified relationship with each club, which may include:

• House League Curler
• Rental League Curler
• Guest
• Member
• Other club-defined relationships

Club administrators have the authority to verify, modify, or revoke your club relationship status at any time.

8. Liability and Assumption of Risk

IMPORTANT: Curling involves inherent risks of injury. By using our Service to book ice time, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with curling activities.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Ice Sched provides booking services only and is not responsible for on-ice activities
• You participate in curling activities at your own risk
• Individual clubs are responsible for ice conditions and facility safety
• We disclaim all warranties regarding ice conditions, equipment, or facility safety

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ICE SCHED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Injuries or damages occurring at curling facilities
• Service interruptions or technical failures
• Actions or omissions of individual clubs or their staff

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking in question.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ice Sched and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service:

• Immediately, without prior notice, for violation of these Terms
• For fraudulent activity or misuse of the Service
• At the request of club administrators
• For extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but these Terms shall remain in effect regarding past use.

12. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

• First, good faith negotiations between the parties
• If necessary, binding arbitration in Calgary, Alberta
• The courts of Alberta shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any matters not subject to arbitration

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on our website
• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms
• Sending email notification for significant changes (if required by law)

Continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
